Axel Haase, in conjunction with Oliver Kopsch of DWC Germany, conducted a hands-on training workshop at INA, the national vocational training institute of Costa Rica. The INA Naranjo/PPP project partner symposium took place in November, 2014.  In this workshop, under supervision,  students learned about rainwater technology, grey water recycling, constructed wetland and filtration systems (special membrane filtration) and constructed under supervision a Constructed Wetland Plant (SEE VIDEO BELOW) to clean the waste water of a training bakery and toilets. The clean water can be used for irrigation.
In this video, Oliver Kopsch from DWC Germany explains the concept of a newly built constructed wetland terrain at INA Naranjo as the outcome of a 1 week workshop on integrated water management done by DWC, INA and its team in November, 2014. This project was done in partnership with develoPPP.de, a branch of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) . Video is in English.
